    Battery is a problem

I love this watch, but there is a problem with it. I bought my watch about 10 months ago, and the battery is already dead in the morning when I wake up. Not too impressive. I will look into how much a replacement battery costs. 2 stars cause it has great feature and looks great. An $80 watch should be problem free for longer than 10 months.

Great watch if you live your life to the second and demand durability.

I’ve been wearing this watch for about three years. In that time, it has been bumped around, gone swimming in the Atlantic a couple of times a year, exposed to all sorts of dirt, rain, chemicals, and generally been pretty well abused. Through all that it’s never missed a beat and still keeps perfect time.

I do have to be careful to put it in a place it likes so it can synch overnight. Facing a window is a must, but not that big a deal as I don’t wear a watch during the night. I would also suggest keeping the band screws tightened.

Over all a great watch at a great price.

I have had this watch for over a year and it works great. battery went down, all I had to do was set it by a window a few days and it has held full charge since.

whoever invented the G watches was a genius! tough as tough can get, I got it everywhere in every vacation on all the continents. accurate time to the boot. nice time keeping features/chronometer/alarms and the part I like most: the excellent gimmick called “tough solar” that keeps ticking the watch for me with occasional exposure to light for 5+ years (I particularly love this feature as in the past I had watches going belly up from water immersion after battery changes). totally love it and would buy casio Gs over and over again! (incidentally does a much better job than any rollex apart from brushing insecure egos, I guess;)

    tank of a watch
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Summary: Wear it and forget it.

It is a tank. Mega durable. I put this thing through hell and the face doesnt even get a scratch … good material and recessed. I never ever have to set the time because it’s synched (living next to Fort Collins doesnt hurt). AutoEL feature is brilliant. If it doesnt detect movement for a long time, the display shuts off – genius! Of course, tough solar means I dont have to ever worry about battery. Being a frequent flyer, the dual time zone with preset cities is also a huge plus for me. Extremely easy to use with intuitive controls

This watch is also made in Japan (rather Thailand), if you care about that

3+ years of ownership now and its been solid for me. Oh, and the reason I bought this? I had 3 Timex Ironmans fail on me with 2 months of ownership (though, it was cosmetic and not functional – their straps broke)
